On January 20, 2022 Shawn Smith, 31, was charged with the murder of 24-year-old Brianna Kupfer. Brianna was murdered at her job on January 13, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. Brianna was a graduate student at UCLA earning her masters degree.
Brianna was working at a design studio in Los Angeles when a male suspect entered the business. Brianna sent a text message to her friend stating that she was getting a bad feeling about the man.
A suspect then walked up to Brianna and stabbed her several times, blood spilled out everywhere. The murderer then fled the scene. Brianna died on the scene.
A week later on January 20, 2022 police arrested Shawn Smith outside of a restaurant in Pasadena. Shawn is charged with murder.
Shawn has a lengthy criminal history and he was even arrested several times in Charlotte, NC ranging from assault to theft charges.
