On January 4, 2022 authorities decided that a man’s killing was justified. No charges will be filed after Antone Sloan, 40, was shot and killed on December 29, 2021 on Hamilton Circle Charlotte, NC.
Legal officials have classified this case as a justified homicide. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office has consulted with Homicide Unit detectives and agreed that no one will be charged in this case.
Shortly after the call, officers located a motor vehicle crash where they found Antone to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medic transported Antone to Atrium Health Hospital.
The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
