ANOTHER CHARLOTTE COP DIES SUDDENLY

On October 5, 2021 it was announced that Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Officer Julio Herrera died. Officer Herrera was the school resource officer at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, NC.

Officer Herrera has spent the last 28 years serving the Charlotte community. Officer Herrera leaves behind a wife and two children. He mentored many students at Ardrey Kell High School. 

Another Charlotte cop died suddenly also, Officer Michael Rorie died after not feeling good. Officer Rorie was also a school resource officer.  

A cause of death has not been mentioned yet.
