On June 28, 2021&nbsp;Tamika Powell, 35, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgyMDgwNDk2MTkxMTUzMjgz\/0-mail-2.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>On June 27, 2021 Kevin was hit by a vehicle around 2 in the morning as he was walking on&nbsp;East WT Harris Boulevard when a&nbsp;Chevrolet Equinox vehicle struck him. The vehicle sustained mild damage and left the scene, making the case a hit and run.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/14-year-old-boy-killed-in-hit-and-run-vehicle-collision\">The crash killed Kevin, as he died near instantly.<\/a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On June 28, 2021, officers located a Chevrolet Equinox parked in a gravel driveway at a residence.
