The suspect then took the officer&#8217;s weapon and shot himself.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other officers moved in to shoot the suspect also. Austin was pronounced dead at the scene. The Pentagon was placed on lockdown during the altercation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>George became a Pentagon police officer on July 22, 2018.
