A female died from the crash.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgzMzEzMTM2MjM1ODQ5MTIy\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>The crash was at 2:21 a.m.&nbsp;Laregis was driving a vehicle that had allegedly just been involved in a hit and run. Authorities say Laregis was fleeing from the first crash location at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at a red light at the North Tryon intersection with Matheson Ave.<\/p>\n<p>The speeding vehicle struck a Lexus vehicle on the passenger&#8217;s side. The Lexus had a green light and the right-of-way. The driver of the Lexus was rushed to Atrium Health Main Hospital with serious injuries.
