{"id":9674,"date":"2021-08-21T21:55:31","date_gmt":"2021-08-21T21:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci028b42f300002426"},"modified":"2021-08-21T21:55:31","modified_gmt":"2021-08-21T21:55:31","slug":"woman-killed-in-bad-car-accident-overnight-collision-at-intersection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2021\/08\/21\/woman-killed-in-bad-car-accident-overnight-collision-at-intersection\/","title":{"rendered":"WOMAN KILLED IN BAD CAR ACCIDENT OVERNIGHT, COLLISION AT INTERSECTION"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chantelle Patterson was killed in a major vehicle collision on&nbsp;August 21, 2021 on North Tryon Street Charlotte, NC. 29-year-old Laregis McCoy was arrested and charged with felony death by motor vehicle.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgzMzEzOTE2ODQ2MTU1MTcw\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/female-dies-after-vehicle-collision-driver-arrested\">The crash was at 2:21 a.m. Laregis was driving a vehicle that had allegedly just been involved in a hit and run.<\/a> Authorities say Laregis was fleeing from the first crash location at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at a red light at the North Tryon intersection with Matheson Ave.<\/p>\n<p>The speeding vehicle struck a Lexus vehicle on the passenger&#8217;s side. The Lexus had a green light and the right-of-way. The driver of the Lexus was rushed to Atrium Health Main Hospital with serious injuries.
