PARK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 29, 2021 a basketball game erupted in gunfire, resulting in a man being shot at approximately 6:15 pm. The shooting was during a basketball game at North Mecklenburg Park, 16131 Old Statesville Road Huntersville, NC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Several people were playing a heated and intense basketball game with a lot trash talk. A verbal altercation ensued between individuals playing in the basketball game. During the altercation, shots were fired and one male victim was struck.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Everyone ran after the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Officers located the male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital in critical condition and is currently stable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as a light skin black male with dreads in a pony tail, tattoos on both arms, 5\u20196\u201d to 5\u201910\u201d, slim build, and in his 20s or 30s of age.
