Williams, 54, died on Labor Day Sept. 6, 2021. Michael was found dead in his New York penthouse around 2 p.m. His nephew found him unresponsive and&nbsp;unconscious in the dining room of the penthouse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgzNjg0NzU5ODkxNzQ4NTI4\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Emergency medics were called, and Michael was pronounced deceased.&nbsp;Drug paraphernalia was found at the scene, authorities say. Michael was best known for his role as &#8216;Omar&#8217; in the hit HBO show The Wire.<\/p>\n<p>In the show, &#8216;Omar&#8217; robbed drug dealers and carried out various homicides.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/famed-rapper-dmx-dies-after-overdose-led-to-catastrophic-cardiac-arrest\">The rapper DMX died on April 9, 2021 from a drug overdose.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/2-women-die-from-fentanyl-and-cocaine-toxicity-at-apartments\">Andria Wakefield, 51, and Shasta Brown, 46, died from fentanyl and cocaine toxicity in Charlotte, NC on April 11, 2021.<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/drugs\/woman-dies-from-fentanyl-laced-drugs-black-man-charged-with-murder\">18-year-old Hailey Deickman died on May 18, 2021 in Belle Chasse, Louisiana after she took a Percocet pill that had a fatal dose of fentanyl.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The famed actor &#8216;Omar&#8217; from the Wire HBO show is now dead in real life.
