Haiishen was a former college basketball&nbsp;player at High Point University in High Point, NC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgzNzM0MjIxNTQwNDM1NDYw\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Haiishen was a great player and scored many points for the university.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/man-shot-during-basketball-game-at-north-meck-park\">On August 29, 2021 a basketball game erupted in gunfire, resulting in Haiishen being shot at approximately 6:15 pm.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Several people were playing a heated and intense basketball game. Tempers began to flare, and a verbal altercation ensued between individuals playing in the basketball game. During the altercation, shots were fired and Haiishen was struck.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone ran after the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Officers were called and they located Haiishen suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital in critical condition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But, in efforts to save his life, medical staff performed multiple surgeries on&nbsp;Haiishen at the hospital.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nearly a week after the shooting, Haiishen died from the injuries he sustained in the shooting.
