Malek was arrested on September 9, 2021.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTgzNzczMzExMzc5OTczNDM5\/24282_36h0h926114041096_11333906341_n.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>  Gabryelle lived in Louisiana, but she left in early September 2021 to escape the wrath of Hurricane Ida. She began to live with friends in Charlotte.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/woman-murdered-on-labor-day-2021-near-uptown-charlotte\">Gabryelle was murdered on East 22<sup>nd<\/sup> St.&nbsp;Around 5:30 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call for an unresponsive female.<\/a> Upon arrival, officers and medic located&nbsp;Gabryelle&nbsp; who was not breathing, she was pronounced deceased on the scene.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after 1:30 p.m., on September 9, 2021, Malek was arrested in Greensboro, N.C. by the Greensboro Police Department&#8217;s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.
