As the officer got closer to the suspect vehicle Ruben pointed a firearm at the officer and fired several shots.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The officer retreated for cover behind cars, and Ruben fled the scene in the SUV. After a brief chase Ruben pulled over and surrendered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>  Ruben was wanted out of Colorado for violating his parole from a robbery conviction. Ruben is now charged with attempted murder from the August 2021 shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Officer Laramore was injured in his hand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Watch a cop get shot at up close.
