Tracy was a suspect in a child pornography investigation and had already been arrested a few days prior to the suicide.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg0MTY0NjcxNDg0MzQwMDk5\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Tracy drove to&nbsp;Statesville Police Department Headquarters and fatally shot himself as he sat behind the steering wheel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Officers observed a vehicle in the parking lot of the police department that appeared to be running with the driver slumped over the steering wheel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Upon entering the vehicle to make contact with Tracy, officers observed that he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head that appeared to be self-inflicted. Officers advised dispatch to request EMS to respond to the scene, and upon arrival, Tracy was declared deceased.<\/p>\n<p>An initial investigation found that Tracy died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n<p>Tracy had been arrested on September 24, 2021 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children told police that Tracy had files of child pornography on his digital devices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A member of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force began investigating this case.
