{"id":9329,"date":"2021-10-25T01:06:41","date_gmt":"2021-10-25T01:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02908bce300025e7"},"modified":"2021-10-25T01:06:41","modified_gmt":"2021-10-25T01:06:41","slug":"man-dies-after-being-hit-by-car-in-middle-of-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2021\/10\/25\/man-dies-after-being-hit-by-car-in-middle-of-street\/","title":{"rendered":"MAN DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY CAR IN MIDDLE OF STREET"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> 27-year-old Cody Killian was killed on October 24, 2021 after being hit by a car on Queen City Drive Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg0ODAxMzY5NTE1ODkzODgw\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Around midnight on October 24, 2021, a Volvo car was traveling on Queen City Drive when the female driver observed Cody laying in her travel lane, according to crash scene detectives. <\/p>\n<p>Authorities say the driver attempted to avoid Cody in the road but was unable to and struck him. Impairment does not appear to be a contributing factor for the driver. Cody had severe injuries  and died at the scene of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Volvo car remained on the scene and was not charged with a crime.
