2 adults are in jail after an 8-year-old kid was found dead and other kids were abandoned inside the same apartment with no electricity in Houston, Texas. The boy was in the apartment dead for a year.<\/p>\n

The mother of the kids is 35-year-old Gloria Williams, she was arrested on October 26, 2021. Brian Coulter, 31, was also arrested on October 26th, he is charged with the 8-year-old boy’s murder. Brian is Gloria’s boyfriend.  <\/p>\n

On October 24, 2021 Gloria’s 15-year-old son called 911 to report he and his two younger brothers, ages 9 and 7, had been living alone at an apartment with the dead body of their 8-year-old brother who had been dead for a year. <\/p>\n

Cops arrived and found the 8-year-old’s skeletal remains in the apartment under a blanket, his body was covered in cockroaches. <\/p>\n

The boys were living in the apartment with no electricity and in deplorable conditions. <\/p>\n

The carpet was stink and dirty. There were roaches and flies in the apartment as well. The boys had to depend on neighbors for food. <\/p>\n

All three boys were taken to the hospital, they were all malnourished and had injuries. The 7-year-old had facial fractures that will require surgery. <\/p>\n

A neighbor complained about a foul smell coming from the apartment, but nothing was ever done. The 15-year-old brother was afraid to reach out for help because he had been abused and traumatized. <\/p>\n

The children last attended school in May 2020. They didn\u2019t return for the 2020-2021 school year, and school officials attempted an unsuccessful home visit in September 2020. <\/p>\n

The 8-year-old boy died from multiple blunt force injuries. Investigators say Brian beat the boy to death and then he and Gloria moved out of the apartment, leaving the children behind. <\/p>\n

Gloria is charged with felony injury to a child by omission and tampering with evidence, a human corpse. Brian is charged with murder.<\/p>\n

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking emergency custody of the three boys. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
