{"id":9220,"date":"2021-11-10T00:03:22","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T00:03:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci0291dc0710002519"},"modified":"2021-11-10T00:03:22","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T00:03:22","slug":"woman-killed-at-bus-stop-on-north-tryon-street-man-convicted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2021\/11\/10\/woman-killed-at-bus-stop-on-north-tryon-street-man-convicted\/","title":{"rendered":"WOMAN KILLED AT BUS STOP ON NORTH TRYON STREET, MAN CONVICTED"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On November 9, 2021 Santario Miller, 36, was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury found him guilty of fatally shooting 39-year-old Shalamar Venable at a bus stop in Charlotte, NC.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg1MTcxMDYyMzE1NTU4MjMz\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>  In May 2018,&nbsp;Santario&nbsp;approached Ms. Venable at a bus stop on North Tryon Street and accused her of stealing from him. Prosecutors say Santario attempted to rob Ms. Venable and produced a handgun, shooting her multiple times at close range.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Venable was transported to a local hospital but died soon thereafter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The trial began on November 1, 2021, and ended on November 9th with the jury\u2019s guilty verdict. Santario was tried for first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The jury found him guilty as charged.
