{"id":9152,"date":"2021-11-23T23:47:21","date_gmt":"2021-11-23T23:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci0293035220002452"},"modified":"2021-11-23T23:47:21","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T23:47:21","slug":"double-homicide-several-suspects-charged-with-apartment-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2021\/11\/23\/double-homicide-several-suspects-charged-with-apartment-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"DOUBLE HOMICIDE, SEVERAL SUSPECTS CHARGED WITH MURDER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Homicide Unit detectives have charged two additional suspects, in the&nbsp;murders of Isiah Jeremiah Doctor-Muhammad, 22, and 27-year-old Lee&#8217;Vantay Rankin in Charlotte, NC.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/arrest-made-after-double-homicide\">Marteicus Taylor, 28, was the first man charged in the double homicide.<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On November 23, 2021 Anthony Mitchell, 28, and a male juvenile were both charged with 2 counts of murder.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg1NDk1NzM0MTk0MjgzNjAy\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Lee&#8217;Vantay and Isiah were shot and killed on March 15, 2021 on Kings Ridge Drive in Charlotte.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/double-homicide-overnight-in-triple-shooting-3-total-murdered-in-12-hours\">A shooting transpired at apartments in the area and 3 men were shot. Isaiah died on the scene. Lee&#8217;vantay was rushed to the hospital where he died from his gunshots.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A third man was also shot and taken to the hospital, but he survived.<\/p>\n<p>Marteicus was arrested and charged with both homicides in September 2021.<\/p>\n<p>But during the investigation, information was developed by homicide detectives that led to Anthony and the juvenile as additional suspects in this case.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An arrest warrant was issued for Anthony and a secured custody order was issued for the juvenile suspect. Both suspects were arrested.
