Richard was in a wheelchair. The situation started in a Walmart over a shoplifting claim.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At 6 p.m. Richard was accused of stealing from a Walmart. A Walmart security guard approached Richard and demanded a receipt; Richard is accused of saying, &#8220;here is my receipt&#8221; and then allegedly pulled out a knife.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Richard continued in his wheelchair throughout the Walmart parking lot. Police arrive on scene and Richard is seen rolling in the parking lot of a Lowe&#8217;s home improvement store next door to the Walmart. As Richard is going into the Lowe&#8217;s Tucson Police Officer Ryan Remington shoots Richard nine times.<\/p>\n<p>Richard falls out of his wheelchair and onto the ground slumped over. Richard died on the scene. A female officer was also on the scene during the shooting and had her gun drawn, but the female officer never fired her gun.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus released a statement saying:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;To be very clear, I am deeply disturbed and troubled by Officer Remington&#8217;s actions. His use of deadly force in this incident is a clear violation of department policy and directly contradicts multiple aspects of our use of force and training.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>As a result, the department moved earlier today to terminate Officer Remington.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Officer Remington was fired one day after the deadly shooting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New video shows the moments a man in a wheel-chair was killed.
