The suspects had guns.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg2MTcwNzczNjY3MzI1NjM1\/1untitkled.jpg\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Mary had just finished a business meeting and was walking to her parked vehicle at the park around 2 p.m. when she was approached by two men driving a dark colored SUV. The men pointed guns at Mary and demanded her car keys cell phone and other items.<\/p>\n<p>Mary was frightened and handed over her possessions to the crooks. The suspects took Mary&#8217;s personal cellphone, federal cellphone, and her identification.<\/p>\n<p>The men drove away with Mary\u2019s 2017 Acura.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Congress-woman&#8217;s office said in a statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe congresswoman was physically unharmed. She thanks the Philadelphia Police Department for their swift response, and appreciates the efforts of both the sergeant-at-arms in D.C. and her local police department for coordinating with Philly PD to ensure her continued safety.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Mary is a Democrat and represents the 5th District in Philadelphia.
