Zaki was arrested on December 22, 2021. &nbsp;  <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg2MTg2MTc4OTA5NzA5NDQx\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Shortly before 10:00 p.m., on December 17, 2021, officers responded to an assist medic call at Corbett Square Lane. A baby was located unconscious and unresponsive. Medic and the Charlotte Fire Department also responded and started life saving measures before transporting the baby to Atrium Main Hospital. <\/p>\n<p>Information Officers developed on scene prompted them to call the assistance of both Homicide Unit detectives and the Youth Crime Unit detectives. These two units responded and conducted a joint investigation. <\/p>\n<p>While at the hospital, the baby was showing signs of life. <\/p>\n<p>On December 19, 2021, medical staff pronounced the baby deceased after the child&#8217;s health took a turn for the worse. Homicide detectives then transitioned back into the investigation. <\/p>\n<p>The child was transported to the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office, who officially ruled the baby&#8217;s death a homicide. Murder warrants were issued for Zaki, who is the boyfriend of the baby\u2019s mother. <\/p>\n<p>On December 22, 2021, detectives arrested Zaki.
