On January 4, 2022 authorities decided that a man’s killing was justified. No charges will be filed after Antone Sloan, 40, was shot and killed on December 29, 2021 on Hamilton Circle Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n

Legal officials have classified this case as a justified homicide. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney\u2019s Office has consulted with Homicide Unit detectives and agreed that no one will be charged in this case. <\/p>\n

The homicide was at 11:51 am. Officers responded to reports of shots fired. The caller advised they had shot Antone and that Antone had fled the scene in a vehicle.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Shortly after the call, officers located a motor vehicle crash where they found Antone to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medic transported Antone to Atrium Health Hospital. <\/p>\n

The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. <\/p>\n

OTHER JUSTIFIED HOMICIDE CASES<\/strong><\/u><\/em><\/p>\n

No charges were filed after college basketball star Eric Howell, 29, was shot and killed.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Jonquil Thompson was killed, the shooter walked free after district attorneys choose not to file charges.<\/a><\/p>\n

Tulvel McDougald, 27, was killed by a man in a shooting during a domestic disturbance, the shooting was ruled justified.<\/a> <\/p>\n

16-year-old Vontairius Doster’s death was ruled as a justified homicide.<\/a><\/p>\n

No charges were filed after a man was shot and killed during NBA All-Star Weekend 2019 in Charlotte.<\/a><\/p>\n
