Clayton and Victioria were in a relationship with each other, they were both cops with the St. Lucie County Sheriff&#8217;s Office. The couple had a 1-year-old son who is still alive and was not injured during the suicides. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg2NTE3MDg2NTQ0MDc4NTMx\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Clayton attempted suicide on New Year&#8217;s Eve 2021 while he was off duty. County investigators responded to a home shortly before midnight on December 31, 2021 in St. Lucie County regarding a suicide attempt. <\/p>\n<p>Clayton was badly injured and rushed to the hospital. However, on January 2, 2022 the decision was made to take Clayton off of life support. His life then ended.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p> Sadly, on January 4, 2022 his girlfriend Victoria killed herself. She was pronounced deceased on scene. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> Sheriff Ken Mascara had this to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWhile it is impossible for us to fully comprehend the private circumstances leading up to this devastating loss, we pray that this tragedy becomes a catalyst for change, a catalyst to help ease the stigma surrounding well-being and normalize the conversation about the challenges so many of us face on a regular basis.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The couple&#8217;s 1-year-old baby will be taken care of my a close family member. <\/p>\n<p>Clayton joined the  St. Lucie County Sheriff&#8217;s Office in 2019, while Victoria joined the same department in 2020. Clayton was also a SWAT member for the sheriff&#8217;s office.   <\/p>\n<p> Clayton formerly served in the United States Marine Corps  <\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2 cops are dead after committing suicide, they just had a 1-year-old baby.
