A security guard is accused of killing Malik. The guard is identified as Darrell McKinley, 53.  <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg3MDY4Mzc2NDY2NTk2ODc1\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> The shooting was around 11:30 p.m., Malik was shot at the motel and then transported to Atrium Main Hospital by paramedics where he was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff.  <\/p>\n<p>Initial responding officers detained Darrell and arrested him on a charge of voluntary manslaughter.
