Cheslie won the Miss USA and Miss North Carolina beauty pageants in 2019. Cheslie jumped from a 60-story building at 350 W. 42nd Street in New York City at 7:15 a.m.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg3MDkyMjQ4NDMxNjk5NDM5\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Cheslie reportedly left a suicide note and then jumped from the 29th floor to her death in the bitter New York cold. New York recently had an intense snow storm. Cheslie was also a Charlotte attorney. <\/p>\n<p>Shortly before Cheslie committed suicide she left a Instagram post saying &#8220;May this day bring you rest and peace.&#8221;  <\/p>\n<p>Senator Thom Tillis released a statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I am heartbroken to hear about the tragic death of former Miss North Carolina &amp; Miss USA Cheslie Kryst. I enjoyed meeting her in my office in 2019, where we discussed a number of issues affecting North Carolinians. Susan &amp; I are praying for her family during this difficult time.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p> Cheslie received her bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of South Carolina, she was also a track and field star at the university.
