The jail is located at 801 East 4th Street Charlotte, NC. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTg5MjgzMjA3MDgwODQ2Njkw\/jail-untitledhanvv.png\"><\/figure>\n<p>At approximately 10:11 a.m., a medical emergency was called by a detention officer in the infirmary where Derrick was housed. <\/p>\n<p>Paramedics arrived minutes later and transported Derrick to Atrium Main Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:30 a.m  <\/p>\n<p>  Derrick has been in the jail since January 2021.
