Another person was killed also. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/video-2-people-killed-on-interstate-485\">Video of the traffic backup can be seen here.<\/a><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/medn-20220202_233628.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>The fatal collision was on Interstate 485 at the Pineville-Matthews Road exit at 3 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was dispatched to maintain the scene. The 2 victims died at the scene during a collision.
