The murder was in Charlotte, NC. Anthony was the son of a police officer in Kannapolis. Mangasha will now spend several years in prison. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTkwMjI2MTQ5OTcwODE0Mjk0\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Anthony was shot in the head on January 2, 2017 on Finchley Drive in Charlotte after a birthday party. Anthony was in the car with his aunt, as they were pulling up to a house to park, Mangasha and another man were in the bushes hiding. <\/p>\n<p>The two men popped out of the bushes, and Mangasha began firing. Anthony was shot in the head, and the 2 suspects ran. <\/p>\n<p>Anthony&#8217;s Aunt then drove to the 7-11 on Eastway Drive for help. Anthony was rushed to the hospital, but he later died.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Several months later on April 11, 2017, Mangasha was arrested and charged with murder. His co-defendant was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. <\/p>\n<p>The trial began on June 6, 2022. During the presentation of evidence, Mangasha entered a guilty plea to second degree murder. Mangasha was then sentenced to 150-192 months in prison.  <\/p>\n<p>Mangasha&#8217;s co-defendant is still at trial.&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Life is dangerous for the family&#8217;s of cops too.
