The suspect and father is identified as Kevin Boston, 45.  <\/p>\n<p>The father was having a hard time in life and he ran out of food stamps. Kevin then went to the Food Lion and robbed it, flashing a gun. Police were alarmed of the incident and quickly responded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/charlottealerts\/robbery\/man-shot-in-west-charlotte-during-food-lion-robbery\">As officers approached the suspect, he allegedly fired shots at them. The cops shot back and struck the father.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Kevin was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries. The man later died at the hospital.
