This is the first murder on July 4th weekend for 2022 in Charlotte. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTkwNjIwMzY3NTcwNjA5Mjc3\/123k7mnbll.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>Leslie was involved in a fatal motor vehicle crash on July 1, 2022 at approximately 5:38 a.m. The crash was at the intersection of North Sharon Amity Rd. and Central Avenue. <\/p>\n<p>A male victim was crossing North Sharon Amity within a crosswalk when he was struck by a 2014 Nissan vehicle driven by Leslie. The Nissan entered the intersection allegedly at a high rate of speed while running a red light officials say. <\/p>\n<p>The male was knocked unconscious on impact. Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim dead. <\/p>\n<p>Leslie is accused of being impaired.
