{"id":7573,"date":"2022-07-20T04:56:16","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T04:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02a6a40b6001269b"},"modified":"2022-07-20T04:56:16","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T04:56:16","slug":"suspect-steals-maserati-robs-pawn-shop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2022\/07\/20\/suspect-steals-maserati-robs-pawn-shop\/","title":{"rendered":"SUSPECT STEALS MASERATI &#038; ROBS PAWN SHOP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jango Touray, 27, was sentenced to 14 years in prison on July 19, 2022 for stealing a Maserati and robbing a pawn shop at gunpoint in Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTkxMDIwNTc3NDU1MDg5MzA3\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>On February 8, 2019, Jango robbed Gulf Export, a car dealership located at 3330 North Tryon Street in Charlotte. Jango  entered the car dealership while carrying what appeared to be a long gun wrapped in a white towel and ordered employees inside to get on the ground. <\/p>\n<p> Jango  then ordered an employee to hand him the keys to a Maserati Grand Tourismo. The employee complied, and Jango  fled the dealership in the stolen Maserati. <\/p>\n<p>Three days later on February 11th Jango  robbed the Cash America Pawn business, located at 4635 North Tryon Street. During the robbery, Jango, who was armed with a firearm, ordered the business manager to open the store\u2019s jewelry display cases and ordered other employees to hand him the keys to the cash registers. <\/p>\n<p> Jango  fled the scene in the stolen Maserati with the pawn shop&#8217;s cash and jewelry. Cops located Jango  driving the Maserati and proceeded to follow him a few minutes after the pawn shop robbery. <\/p>\n<p> Jango  was apprehended after he crashed the Maserati and attempted to flee on foot. Law enforcement recovered from inside the Maserati the firearm he used during the pawn shop robbery. Also, some of the stolen cash and jewelry were located in the Maserati. <\/p>\n<p>On November 26, 2019 Jango  pleaded guilty to two counts of hobbs act robbery and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He could not afford a luxury vehicle, so he stole a Maserati in Charlotte from Gulf Export.
