The shooting was in Gastonia, NC.&nbsp;  <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTkyMTIwODU4OTU1NzUyNzA0\/0-screenshot-2021-10-03-at-21-19-05-chandler-police-on-twitter.png\"><\/figure>\n<p>Around noon police responded to a call about an abandoned vehicle on private property. The car was towed away. Nearby cops found another vehicle parked off the road near a wooded area, a semi automatic gun was found in that vehicle. <\/p>\n<p>The gun was confiscated by police for safe keeping. Cops then got a 911 call about a man holding a gun to another man&#8217;s head. <\/p>\n<p>The suspect ran on foot when police arrived and they gave chase. The chase led to a wooded area where several shots were instantly fired at the officers. <\/p>\n<p>Police shot back and Matthew was shot in the head by police. <\/p>\n<p>Matthew was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
