Charles had a young son.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTkyMTQ5NzE4OTg4NDk4MTAx\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>The crash was at 5:46 p.m. Charles was driving a motorcycle on The Plaza. Charles entered a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle lost control and ran off the road striking a curb and ejecting Charles from the vehicle. <\/p>\n<p>The victim was wearing a Department of Transportation approved helmet at the time of the crash and did not have a passenger. Excessive speed does not appear to be a contributing factor. Toxicology results are pending and will determine if alcohol impairment was a contributing factor to this crash.  <\/p>\n<p>Charles had serious injuries when paramedics arrived. Upon medic&#8217;s arrival, Charles was transported to Atrium Health Main Hospital.
