The children&#8217;s&nbsp; aunt, Kaleah Manning, 25, was driving and allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The mother, Raenysa Clydette-Glenn Washington, 23, was in the front passenger seat. Both women were hurt from the crash and were reportedly drinking prior to the crash.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTk0NTQwNDY0NzUyMzA1NTM5\/3-trukkll-blu.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>The toddlers were in the back seat of a minivan, not in car seats. The driver lost control and hit a palm tree around 9:15 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The van struck the curb of the road before the tires went up over the curb and into the landscaped buffer area separating the road from the walls of houses. The van hit a tree, a light pole, and then a large palm tree, heavily damaging the van.<\/p>\n<p> Rose was decapitated  and died at the scene. Taylor was taken to University Medical Center but later died.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/screenshot-2022-12-18-at-18-06-24-family-of-2-toddlers-killed-in-suspected-dui-crash-hope-others-will-learn-from-tragedy.png\"><\/figure>\n<p> Kaleah and Raenysa were hurt in the crash and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
