Eric Henderson, 21, was killed in a head on collision on December 26, 2022 in Cumberland County, NC on U.S. Highway 13. A Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved. Eric was currently on the basketball team at Livingstone College.<\/p>\n

Around 1 a.m. Eric was on the way back to college after visiting family for the Christmas holiday. Eric was driving a black sedan on U.S. Highway 13. And at some point, Eric veered past the double yellow line into oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck head on that was being driven by an off duty Cumberland Count Sheriff’s Deputy.<\/p>\n

The deputy had 2 of his kids in the truck. The truck then careened off the road and into the woods after impact. Eric’s vehicle was thrown into the woods after the collision.<\/p>\n

Ex-Livingstone College basketball star Eric Howell was shot and killed in Charlotte<\/a><\/p>\n

Sadly Eric died on the scene. The deputy and his children were taken to the hospital and are expected to be okay. Authorities say speed was a factor and that Eric may of been fatigued.<\/p>\n

Eric was from Virginia Beach, Va. Eric was a sophomore and also an honor student at Livingstone College. High Point University basketball star Haiishen Mcintyre was shot and killed during a game<\/a><\/p>\n
