On January 2, 2023 three construction workers were killed in uptown Charlotte, NC during a work place accident on East Morehead Street.  <\/p>\n

The workers were on the construction site of an apartment building. And around 9 a.m. the scaffolding that the 3 construction workers were standing on collapsed. The workers were high up at 70 feet when the platform came crashing down. The 3 employees were killed on the scene by the fall. <\/p>\n

2 more construction workers were hurt and taken to the hospital, but those 2 survived. It is not clear what company the construction workers were employed with, and it is not clear who the victims are at this time. <\/p>\n

OSHA and the NC Department of Labor will evaluate the construction site, and there will likely be violations, penalties, and fines. <\/p>\n

A latino construction worker in Charlotte fell to his death during an accident on a skyscraper. His name was Juventino Mata-Hernandez.<\/a><\/p>\n

Already in 2023 a 5-year-old girl was shot and killed in Charlotte.<\/a><\/p>\n
