The Nori Japan restaurant located at South Park Mall in Charlotte, NC on Sharon Road scored an 80 B during a food safety inspection on February 7, 2023. A live roach was found during the inspection. <\/p>\n

The inspector observed par cooked chicken. A Nori Japan employee was handling raw and ready to eat foods with the same spatula; the food was forced to be discarded.<\/p>\n

The manager at Nori Japan and a food employee were unable to tell the inspector the six reportable food borne illnesses and symptoms. <\/p>\n

The breaded chicken, egg rolls, and fried rice on the main hot line were not meeting the temperature threshold and had to be thrown away during the inspection.<\/p>\n

No food time stamp procedures were present during the inspection. There were also no food time stamps being maintained.<\/p>\n

Carrots were stored on the ground inside of the walk-in cooler. Avocados were cut and ready to be served without being washed, in fact the labels were still on the avocados, the inspector had the avocados thrown away. <\/p>\n

Bowls were stored as scoops in the rice and seasoning salts. The inspector saw a handle making direct contact with rice inside of the secondary container. <\/p>\n

There was rusty shelving inside of the main walk-in cooler.<\/p>\n
