The homicide occurred on Memorial Day 2021 in Charlotte, NC. Sherilyn was a senior at  Georgia State University majoring in biology. She was home for summer break.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTk1OTUxNjg0OTczNzY2MTEz\/1untitkled2.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/news\/woman-shot-and-killed-on-memorial-day\">On Memorial Day May 31, 2021 Sherilyn was at home with her family when suspects pulled up in front of their home on Twin Brook Drive Charlotte, NC and opened fire. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sherilyn was shot and killed around 12:30 a.m. Sherilyn was pronounced deceased on scene. The suspects were believed to of pulled up to the wrong house in a case of mistaken identity. <\/p>\n<p>Now, nearly 2 years later an arrest has been made.
