Gerry Burns, 18, was arrested on February 22, 2023 charged with the murder of 17-year-old Jayden Blackmon at apartments on Lynn Street Charlotte, NC.<\/a> <\/p>\n

The shooting was at the apartments around 4 p.m. on February 19, 2023. Jayden was at the apartment complex parking lot socializing with several people. <\/p>\n

A vehicle quickly drove by and shot several times. Jayden was shot multiple times. The suspect vehicle then sped off. <\/p>\n

Paramedics took Jayden to the hospital, where he later died. It is not known if anyone else was shot. <\/p>\n

Gerry was arrested days later and charged with murder, robbery, assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill, and stolen vehicle. <\/p>\n

Another teenager was shot and killed earlier this week. Steven Gomez Mendoza, 15, was shot and killed on February 12, 2023.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Deshaun Moore, 30, was murdered on February 12, 2023 on Billy Graham Parkway Charlotte, NC. On February 13, 2023 Thomas Glover, 23, was charged with Deshaun’s murder.<\/a><\/p>\n
