Mekayla Rodgers, 19, and Lonnie McConico, 18, were arrested, charged in the high speed pursuit.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/.image\/c_fit,h_600,w_600\/MTk3MDcyNDc4OTY5Nzk5NzYz\/1untitkled.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<p>A vehicle reported stolen was identified by a license plate reader via the police department&#8217;s Real Time Crime Center, the vehicle was driving on North Graham St on April 5th. The car had been stolen in a carjacking earlier in the month.<\/p>\n<p> Police tried to pull the car over, but it didn\u2019t stop and a pursuit began.<\/p>\n<p>The stolen car sped into west Charlotte on Freedom and&nbsp;Tuckaseegee Road. The stolen vehicle ran off the road in the area of Wesley Green Way and hit a ditch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle crashed. The alleged occupants in the vehicle were Mekayla and Lonnie.
