30-year-old Donald Janvier (Seen here) was shot to death at the hands of a federal agent from the Department of Homeland Security. The shooting transpired at the Tropix Bar and Lounge.<\/p>\n
Early this morning at 1:55 a.m., Department of Homeland Security and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agents were conducting an inspection at the Tropix Bar and Lounge located at 4701 North Tryon Street.<\/p>\n
As agents were conducting their inspection, a fight occurred inside of the bar. Patrons and employees came outside to the parking lot where the disturbance continued.<\/p>\n
Donald got into a vehicle and drove towards a federal homeland security agent and hit him with the vehicle. The federal agent subsequently fired his service weapon at Donald. The agent killed Donald.<\/p>\n
The agent sustained minor injuries and was transported by Medic. No shots were fired by CMPD Officers. Medic responded and pronounced Donald deceased on scene.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
