This week prosecutors with the Charlotte Special Victims Team convicted Tevin Williams, 21, (Seen here) for his role in raping and robbing an adult couple in center city Charlotte.<\/p>\n
Tevin will now go to prison for 50 years.<\/p>\n
On June 1, 2017, Tevin held a man and a woman at gunpoint, led them into a dark alley, and demanded money. Tevin then ordered the two to undress. He ordered the woman to perform oral sex on the man while he raped the woman at gunpoint. Tevin began to tie up the male victim with duct tape, but the male victim was able to trip Tevin, which allowed the couple to escape and call for help. Tevin was arrested soon after and admitted to committing the offenses.<\/p>\n
During trial Judge Lisa Bell sentenced Tevin to 600- 820 months in prison. Tevin must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.<\/p>\n
Tevin pled guilty to 1) two counts of first degree rape, 2) seven counts of first degree sexual offense, 3) two counts of first degree kidnapping, 4) two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, 5) possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 6) possession of a stolen firearm, 7) urinating in public, 8) resisting a public officer, and 9) first degree trespass.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
