Police have charged 25-year-old George Hayes with the murder of Kendric Washington, 22.<\/p>\n
The investigation revealed that Kendric was killed over a drug dispute by George. Files show that George is a suspected drug user.<\/p>\n
The murder occurred on November 20 just two nights before Thanksgiving at an apartment complex on Avebury Drive Charlotte, NC. George is accused of shooting Kendric point blank.<\/p>\n
Information gathered during the course of this investigation led detectives to identify George as the suspect and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.<\/p>\n
Officers with the CMPD Violent Crime Apprehension Team located him earlier this morning and were able to take him into custody without incident.<\/p>\n
