Department of Labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juventino was in a hoist elevator that malfunctioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gilbane Building Company was cited as a result of the Department of Labor&#8217;s inspection. The company was cited for four serious violations of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The violations include a bridging device not being secured to a hoist, the hoist having mechanical issues and the employer not maintaining programs for inspections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company must now pay a $20,000 fine.
