On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, Dionte Evans, 19, stole a woman’s car; Dionte then led cops on a wild chase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It all started on North Graham Street Charlotte, NC in reference to an armed robbery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The female victim stated that her blue Honda CRV was stolen at gunpoint by Dionte. Thankfully, the victim was not injured during the robbery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responding officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. But Dionte was not going to jail easily, as he refused to stop which then erupted into a vehicle pursuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pursuit ended when Dionte finally came to a stop on The Plaza near Plaza Park Dr. at which time the officers were able to take Dionte into custody without further incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dionte was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Upon his release, he was transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail and has been charged with Armed Robbery and Operating a Motor Vehicle while Fleeing Law Enforcement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
