Jose Diaz was drunk when his truck hit a motorcycle rider, decapitating the man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim is identified as Miguel Angel Linarte Jacome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The crash happened at the intersection of Central Avenue and Lansdale Drive in Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday January 27, 2019 at 9:43 p.m., the motorcycle was traveling on Central Avenue when the Chevrolet truck made a U-turn from the inbound lanes of Central Avenue into the path of the motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The motorcycle struck the right front side of the truck and the truck continued to travel off road into a ditch eventually hitting a tree, all the while the victim was drug underneath the truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The force, entanglement, and impact decapitated the victim. Medics arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist, Miguel Angel Linarte Jacome, deceased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jose was charged with felony death by vehicle, driving while impaired, open container after consuming, no operator license, and safe movement violation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
