Derric Smith, 28, and Justin Manley, 22, were arrested for their involvement in stealing a vehicle and an intent to kill shooting in Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Tuesday, March 19 around 3:00 am, a Blue Kia Sorento was stolen from Griers Grove Road after being left running and unattended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vehicle was later located crashed at Nevin Road with two holes that appeared to be bullet holes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before the stolen vehicle crashed, officers near the area heard gunshots coming from the Nevin Road area and observed the stolen vehicle speeding away at a high rate of speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vehicle crashed and a traffic stop was conducted. While searching the vehicle, officers located three firearms and additional evidence inside that indicated the weapons were recently fired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deric was charged with Larceny of a Vehicle and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Justin was charged with 2 counts of Discharge Weapon Into Occupied Property, Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, Firearm by Felon, Concealed Carry Weapons Violation, and multiple traffic citations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
