{"id":14566,"date":"2019-05-22T16:38:27","date_gmt":"2019-05-22T16:38:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ci02819f3be0052458"},"modified":"2025-02-25T07:06:18","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T07:06:18","slug":"arrests-made-in-armed-robbery-shoot-out-at-sweepstakes-parlor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tender-hodgkin.62-151-180-206.plesk.page\/index.php\/2019\/05\/22\/arrests-made-in-armed-robbery-shoot-out-at-sweepstakes-parlor\/","title":{"rendered":"ARRESTS MADE IN ARMED ROBBERY SHOOT OUT AT SWEEPSTAKES PARLOR"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anthony Henry, 17, Averin Washington, 17, and Chavez Peoples, 25, were all arrested charged with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/charlottealerts\/robbery\/armed-robbery-ends-in-shoot-out-between-suspects-and-security-guard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">violent sweepstakes parlor robbery.<\/a> Probable cause was developed that led to warrants for the suspects&#8217; arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 5 at 10:22 p.m., the three male suspects are accused of robbing the AIA Arcade at gunpoint. The business is located at 5622 E. Independence Boulevard Charlotte, NC.&nbsp;At least one of the suspects was armed with a firearm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the suspects left the business and were in the parking lot, shots were fired between the suspects and a security guard employed by the business. Chavez was hit by gunfire; the Security Guard was not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shot Chavez was later dropped off at a hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 11, 2019, Chavez was released from the hospital and arrested charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On May 14, 2019, Anthony turned himself into jail.
