He made a wealthy six figure salary. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charlottealertsnews.com\/charlottealerts\/news\/charlotte-mecklenburg-schools-superintendent-clayton-wilcox-gets-suspended\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clayton was recently suspended by the Board of Education<\/a> over his handling of not requiring new CMS employees to have their fingerprints processed. Board of Education policy requires new hires to have their fingerprints processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clayton will resign effective Aug. 2, 2019 CMS officials said at a special Friday morning meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CMS superintendent made a whopping $307,000 a year.
