On July 22, 2019, in the afternoon, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Charlotte Transportation Center at 310 East Trade Street Charlotte, NC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When they arrived, they located a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, who is a Charlotte Area Transit System fixed-route bus operator, was transported to the hospital by medics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responding officers worked with security guards to quickly apprehend Mr. Moss nearby, and a firearm believed to be used in the shooting was located in his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preliminary information indicates the suspect has a domestic relationship with the victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Moss is charged with Attempted first degree murder, four counts of Shooting into occupied property, Possession of a firearm by felon, Possession of a stolen firearm, Carrying a concealed weapon, Felony domestic violence protective order violation, Discharge a firearm within the city limits (four counts), Resist\/Delay\/Obstruct a law enforcement officer<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Moss has a lengthy, violent criminal history including a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and several weapons-related charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
