Brian Smith, 18, has been charged with an armed robbery in Charlotte, NC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On August 5, 2019, an armed robbery occurred on Mintworth Avenue. The victim advised he was sitting in a vehicle with his wife when they were approached by four males who robbed them both at gunpoint. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the suspects struck the victim with a gun before leaving the scene. Two of the suspects fled in the victim\u2019s vehicle and the other suspects left in the vehicle they arrived in. A short time later, the victim\u2019s vehicle was located unoccupied by a officer on Treeside Lane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on information and evidence that was collected during the investigation, along with the assistance of the Crime Analysis Unit, Brain Smith was identified as a suspect in this case and detectives issued warrants for his arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On August 6, Brian was arrested and charged with two counts Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
